This weekend we went out and got the kind of pot (or pan? What is the difference?) that I have been wanting for a long time. Technically my mother-in-law gave it to me for my birthday six months ago, but I found it today. =)
Drew and I had great fun taking pictures of it to send to her. I thought I would share the fun sorts of things a shiny surface can do in pictures.
I think I need to start selling mirrors or shiny coffee tables so I can take pictures of them more often.

Baby Wants the Camera
Our sweet little guy is just about 7 months. He is a bucket full of love!
Here he waiting for Daddy to come home (we don't do this every night, he was just pretty cranky inside and there was a very interesting cat outside the window.)
This kid wishes he had the finger dexterity to hold the camera and press the shutter button!

Wedding: Jesse and Danielle
I know Danielle from the school where I taught before the baby came along. She is an awesome teacher. She also knows how to throw a great wedding! We were so excited to shoot this beautiful ceremony at the Westin Harbour Island.
This wedding was taking place smack-dab in the middle of the Red Bull Flugtag event. Outside this window are thousands of people hanging off hotel balconies. Some of them held up "10" signs for Danielle. I agree!
I love the nervous hands in this picture.
Danielle waits with her family.
The ring-bearer was such a cutie.
These gorgeous flowers were by Ian Prosser at Botanica.
The beautiful cake from Chef Michael at Let Them Eat Cake.
The ceremony is over. Let the party begin. These two are EXCITED!
We had such a great time shooting your wedding, guys!

Beach Photo Tip
Ellie's Better Photos Tip #1: Don't Blend In!
Looking through recent photos, I have discovered a rule for dressing for a beach photo session. Our gulf coast beaches have the prettiest white sugar sand. This makes for a lot of light areas in photos. However, if you look closely, the sand does not show up as pure white in pictures but as a soft gray/brown.
My suggestion is to avoid wearing pastels if you are posing on the shore. Especially if you want some gorgeous black and white pictures. Truely white clothes look great. Jeans and dark/bright clothes are fine. Light colors and khaki sort of blend into the sand in pictures. Sort of like a beach-camo.
